This is the north and northeast edge of Huntsville, where the city meets the farmland toward New Market and Meridianville. One thing that surprises people: many Huntsville addresses out here are zoned for Madison County Schools, not Huntsville City Schools, so the school line matters more than the mailing address.

Buying new in Grand Hollow

Before you visit a model home

  • Bring your agent on the first visit. Many builders only let a buyer's agent represent you if the agent is with you the first time you walk in. If you sign in alone, you may lose that option.
  • Know who pays us. Most builders around Huntsville work with buyer's agents and pay the commission. We confirm exactly how it is paid, in writing, before you sign anything.
  • Compare the incentives, not just the price. Builder offers usually come as closing costs or a rate buydown through the builder's preferred lender. We put the numbers side by side with an outside lender so you can see which deal is actually better.
  • Inspect it anyway. New homes still have defects. A pre-drywall inspection and a final inspection before closing are worth the money, and so is a walk-through before your one-year warranty runs out.
  • Read the covenants. HOA rules on fences, sheds, parking and rentals vary a lot from one neighborhood to the next.
