Will the view stay?
Not always. Trees grow, and land below a home can be cleared or built on. Ask who owns the land in the view and check for planned development before you pay extra for it.
Do mountain homes cost more to own?
Sometimes. Steep driveways, septic systems, well water in a few spots and longer drives can add cost. Check the sewer filter and ask about the driveway and drainage.
